The Utah Utes took another win against Oregon State at the Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Oregon with a 197.150. Oregon State, just their second meet of the season, scored a 195.450.
The competition started with Oregon State on vault and Utah on bars. Oregon put up decent scores on vault with their highest being a pair of 9.825s from sisters Lacy and Madi Dagen. However, vault is an event the Beavers will want to raise scores on but is unfortunately difficult with the Yurchenko full being valued at a 9.950.
Utah had a solid rotation on bars going 49.175. The highlight routine came from MyKayla Skinner who scored a 9.925 on the event. Impressive scores also came from Cristal Isa and Missy Reinstadtler who both scored a 9.850.
Utah went over to vault for the second rotation and Oregon State took to the uneven bars. Utah had a fantastic vault rotation with Skinner earning a huge 9.975 and Kari Lee and Macey Roberts scoring a 9.875. The Utes went 49.400 on vault and were in an excellent position going into the third rotation. On bars, the Beavers went 48.900 with the team’s best routine coming from Isis Lowrey for a 9.850.
For the third rotation, Oregon State went to beam with Utah going to floor. Unfortunately, Oregon State had to count a fall on beam, but were able to stay in the 48 range with help from Maela Lazaro‘s 9.850.
After a huge second rotation, Utah matched their vault team score with their floor score earning a 49.400. The score the Utes dropped on floor? A 9.850. Skinner posted the event high for the Utes with a 9.900, and MaKenna Merrell-Giles, Reinstadtler, Roberts, and Sydney Soloski all scored a 9.875.
Going into the fourth rotation, the Utes lead the Beavers 147.975 to 146.125 with the Utes heading to beam and the Beavers going to floor.
Shannon McNatt lead off for the Utes on beam posting a 9.800 and Isa, Lee, and Adrienne Randall all scored a 9.850 helping Utah earn a 49.175 on the event.
Oregon State closed on floor for a fantastic finish, scoring a 49.325 event score. Savanna Force had the highlight routine on floor posting a 9.925.
The competition concluded with Utah scoring a 197.150 for the win and Oregon State scoring a 195.450. Skinner took home the all around title with a 39.625 as well as the vault and bars results.
