Tristen Norman got her start in gymnastics at the age of four to burn off her extra energy and after her parents discovered her flipping around the house. Tristen was enrolled in recreational classes and fell in love with gymnastics from the start. Tristen's coach saw something special in her and was moved up to pre-team quickly. After a year in pre-team, Tristen was moved up to the team program at Gymnasiana Gymnastics.
Tristen began competing during the fall of 2018 as a level 1. At her first meet, Tristen won the vault, floor, and all around titles. Tristen had a fantastic first season of gymnastics, including scoring a perfect 10.0 on floor at the Nola National Invitational. In March 2019 at the Louisiana State Championships, Tristen swept the competition winning all four events and the all around title with a 38.975.
Following her fantastic level 1 season, Tristen went on to compete level 3 during the 2019-2020 season. At her first level 3 meet of the season, Tristen won the vault and beam titles and came in second in the all around. Tristen had her best meet of her season before the season was unfortunately canceled due to COVID-19, at the Crimson Classic where she won the all around title with a 38.875.
Tristen began her 2021 season as a level 4 at the Atlanta Crown Invitational where she won all four events and the all around title with a 38.225. At her next two meets, Tristen won the all around titles at 38.500.
Currently, Tristen trains 20 hours per week under coaches Jazz Carmichael, Frank Holmes, and Missy Lafferty at PAC Gymnastics.In the future, Tristen hopes to represent Team USA at the Olympics and earn a college scholarship for gymnastics to LSU.
