Biography
Tobie Woolley-Larrea began gymnastics at the age of five in a recreational class. Tobie loved gymnastics from the start and progressed quickly. Tobie began competing in fall 2010 as a level 2 with Gymnastics Wizards. In 2011, Tobie competed level 3 and went on to place fourth on vault and beam at the Florida State Championships.
In Fall 2012, Tobie competed level 4. At her first meet of the season, Black Jack On The Beach, Tobie placed second on floor and third on beam. Tobie had a solid level 4 season and finished second on beam and third all around at the Florida State Championships. Due to the USAG skill/level change in 2013, Tobie competed a second season of level 4 in 2013. Tobie had another great season and finished in the top 5 on vault, bars, beam, and in the all around at state. Tobie competed her last year of compulsories as a level 5 in 2014. At State, Tobie placed fifth on beam, floor, and in the all around.
Tobie began her optional career in 2015 as a level 6 and competed level 7 in 2016. At the Florida State Championships, Tobie placed fourth on floor. In 2017, Tobie competed level 8. Tobie began her season at the Sun and Surf Spectacular where she placed fifth on vault and sixth all around. Tobie finished her season at the Leprechaun Classic where she earned a bronze medal on floor and finished fifth all around.
Competing level 9 during the 2019 season, Tobie began her season at the Biles Invitational where she finished fourth on beam and seventh all around. Tobie concluded her season one month later at the Florida State Championships with a top 10 finish on vault.
Currently, Tobie trains 23 hours per week under coaches Maria Gonzalez, Jeanne Barrera, and Billy Abreu at Leyva Gymnastics Academy in Florida. In the future, Tobie hopes to compete for a division 1 or 2 school.
