Taylor Lutz got her start in gymnastics at the age of three in a tiny tumblers class. Taylor loved tumbling right away and began taking classes as a level 1 when she was in first grade.
Taylor began competing in May 2019 with Butler Gymnastics. Taylor competed just one meet of level 3 where she won the bars, beam, and all around titles. Taylor competed level 4 during the 2019-2020 season. At her first meet of the season, the Alex Summers Invitational, Taylor earned bronze medals on bars, floor, and in the all around. Taylor was able to compete four more meets before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Taylor had her best performance of the season at the Tiki Classic where she won the all around title as well as a silver medal on vault and bronze medals on bars and floor.
Competing level 5 during the 2021 season, Taylor began her season at the Happy New Year meet where she came in second on vault, beam, floor, and in the all around. Taylor continued to improve throughout the season and went on to the Pennsylvania State Championships in May where she scored her best all around score of the season.
Taylor began her optional career in November 2021 as a level 6 at the Alex Summers Invitational. Here, Taylor came in sixth on floor. In January at the Happy New Year meet, Taylor placed third on beam.
Currently, Taylor trains 14 hours per week under coach Lori at Butler Gymnastics. Taylor's goal for her 2022 season is to score a 36.000 in the all around. In the future, Taylor hopes to reach level 10.
