Serena Riechmann got her start in gymnastics at the age of three. Serena started tumbling around when she was two and her mom signed her up for classes at the age of three. Serena progressed through classes and was eventually invited to join the team program at AGI.
Serena began competing in February 2020 as an Xcel silver. At her first meet, the St. Louis Classic Invitational, Serena won the bars title and came in second in the all around. Serena was able too compete one more meet before the remainder of the season was canceled due to COVID-19.
As a level 3 during the 2021 season, Serena began her season at the Dragon Invite where the swept the competition, winning all four events and the all around. In March at the Illinois State Championships, Serena had a fantastic competition, winning the vault, bars, floor, and all around titles. During the summer of 2021, Serena participated in TOPs state testing and qualified to TOPs National Testing as one of the top 100 eight year olds in the country.
Following her 2021 season, Serena began training at Pride Gymnastics and tested out of level 4 to compete level 5 during the 2022 season. Serena began her 2022 level 5 season at the King Arthur Invitational where she came in fourth on floor.
Currently, Serena trains 12 hours per week under coach Christine at Pride Gymnastics. In the future, Serena hopes to represent Team USA at the Olympics.
