Rebecca’s parents signed her up for gymnastics shortly after they discovered her attempting to scale the doorway and climbing all over the house ad the age of two. Rebecca began competing in 2011 at age seven as a level 4 with Capital Gymnastics. Rebecca had a great first season of competitive gymnastics and went on to place second on beam, third on vault, and fifth all around at the Virginia State Championships. The following season, Rebecca competed level 5 and improved her all around score at each meet. Rebecca concluded her level 5 season at state where she placed in the top 10 on bars. Rebecca competed her last compulsory season as a level 6 during the 2012-2013 season. At her first meet of the season, the Richmond Fall Classic, Rebecca placed fourth on beam and seventh all around. Rebecca had a fantastic season and went on to place third on vault and beam at the Virginia State Meet.

Rebecca’s optional career began in November 2011 at the Richmond Fall Classic as a level 7 where she placed fourth on bars, beam, and in the all around. Rebecca had her best meet of the season at state where she placed second on beam and in the all around. Rebecca competed her first year of level 8 during the 2014-2015 season and placed fifth on bars and beam at state. Rebecca competed her second season of level 8 the following season and had a great year, placing third all around at state and qualifying to the Region 7 Championships where she placed eighth all around.

Following her second level 8 season, Rebecca moved up to level 9 and competed her first level 9 meet at Christmas On The Chesapeake where she placed second on floor and third all around. Throughout the regular season, Rebecca placed in the top 3 in the all around at all of her meets. At the Virginia State Championships, Rebecca had a fantastic meet and won the floor and all around titles as well as qualifying to the Region 7 Championships. Rebecca competed in a tough age division at regionals and just missed out on qualifying to the Eastern Championships. However, she still came away with top 5 finishes on bars and floor. During the 2017-2018 season, Rebecca competed another year of level 9. Rebecca went on to place second all around at the Virginia State Championships as well as at the Region 7 Championships, qualifying to Easterns. At Easterns, Rebecca had a great meet and finished eighth all around.

Currently, Rebecca trains 22.5 hours per week under coaches Tish Simmons and Aryan Mazloum at Capital National Gymnastics Center. Next season, Rebecca hopes to qualify to JO Nationals and in the future, she hopes to earn a scholarship to a division 1 school for gymnastics.
