Raegan Rutty got her start in gymnastics at the age of four since her sister was in gymnastics.
Raegan is an international elite competing for the Cayman Islands. She began competing at the elite level in 2016 and represented the Cayman Islands at the Pan American Championships. Raegan also represented the Cayman Islands at the Junior Commonwealth Championships where she placed 16th all around.
In June 2017, Raegan competed at the Central American Sports Festival. Here, Raegan finished 16th in the junior division.
In her first meet as a senior elite, Raegan competed at the Commonwealth Games in April 2018. It was a great experience for Raegan in her first meet as a senior elite. Later in the year, Raegan was named to the Cayman Islands Pan American Championships team. Here, Raegan had her best competition of her international elite career. In October, Raegan went on to compete at the World Championships in Doha, Quatar.
Currently, Raegan trains 38 hours per week under coaches Johnnie and Eddie Humphry and Ashly Baker at Stars Gymnastics. Next season, Raegan’s goal is to qualify for the 2019 Pan American Games. In the future, Raegan hopes to make the 2020 Olympic team and earn a college scholarship for gymnastics. Raegan competed on all four events in qualifications.
