Nicole Westby got her start in gymnastics at six months old in parent tot classes. Nicole loved being in the gym from the start, began classes on her own once she was old enough, and was eventually invited to join the team program at Ascend Gymnastics.
Nicole began competing as a level 2 in January 2018 at the National Judges Cup Championship. Here, Nicole came in second all around as well as third on vault and floor. Three months later, Nicole concluded her season at the South Sectional Championship where she came in sixth on floor.
Competing level 3 during the 2018-2019 season, Nicole began her season at the AGC Fall Intersquad where she finished sixth on vault. In December at the Washington Fall State Championships, Nicole came in sixth on vault. Nicole began the spring season in January at the Snowball Classic with a third place finish in the all around. In April at the Washington State Championships, Nicole came in the top 5 on beam. Nicole competed a second season of level 3 during the 2019-2020 season and began her season at the NAWGJ Reindeer Games meet where she won the vault, beam, floor, and all around titles. Nicole was able to compete four more meets before the remainder of the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Competing level 4 in 2021, Nicole began her season at the Charity Choice Invitational. Here, Nicole came in second on vault as well as third on beam, floor, and all around. Nicole improved her all around score at each meet throughout the season and went on to win the beam, floor, and all around titles at the Washington State Championships.
Currently, Nicole trains 24 hours per week under coaches Giorgio and Kim at Inspire Gymnastics. Nicole's goal for her 2022 season is to score a 38.000 in the all around. In the future, Nicole hopes to earn a college scholarship for gymnastics.
