Natalia Nazzal got her start in gymnastics at the of three as her mom needed Natalia to have an activity to channel all of her energy. Natalia was taken to a mommy and me class and loved it. Once she was old enough, Natalia was enrolled in recreational classes and was then invited to join the team program at All Around Gymnastics Academy in Florida. Natalia began competing in 2016 as a level 3. In her first season of competitive gymnastics, Natalia went on to finish second on bars and third on floor at the Florida State Championships.
Following her 2016 season, Natalia and her family moved to Maryland and Natalia began training at Unique Sports Academy. In December 2017, Natalia competed one meet of level 4 and competed level 5 for the rest of the spring 2018 season. As a level 5, Natalia finished fifth on beam at the Maryland State Championships.
After her level 5 season, Natalia moved to 1st Class Gymnastics and began competing level 7 in October 2018. Natalia competed level 7 through the late fall of 2018 into the spring of 2019. In March at the Maryland State Championships, Natalia finished fourth on vault and seventh all around.
Natalia kicked off her 2019-2020 level 8 season at the Holiday Invitational where she won the bars and all around titles.
Currently, Natalia trains 20 hours per week under coaches Shone Taglisferi, Debbie Dixon, and Kyla Battle at 1st Class Gymnastics. Natalia's goal for the 2020 season is to win the all around title at the Maryland State Championships, qualify to the Region 7 Championships, and qualify to the Hopes Classic. In the future, Natalia hopes to compete as an all around gymnast in college.
