First year senior, Morgan Hurd will be competing this Saturday, March 18, at the Stuttgart World Cup in Stuttgart, Germany. Hurd is the only gymnast that the US sent to compete in Stuttgart and will be her senior and international debut. Morgan Hurd made the US National team for the first time in 2016 as a junior. She finished 5th all around at the 2016 P&G Championships with a combined score of 109.750.
Hurd will compete on Saturday, March 18 in the Women’s All Around Competition at 12:30 pm local Stuttgart time (6:30 am EST). This will be an exciting meet to watch as there are many up and coming seniors competing as well as veterans – including Olympians. Although there hasn’t been any media coverage during training, USA Gymnastics posted this video of Morgan training a tucked double double, a new floor pass for Morgan.
NBC Sports plans to live stream the Women’s All Around Competition, so you will be able to watch Morgan from NBC Sports. This meet will be a great look into the beginning of the 2017-2020 quad with the immense international field.
