McKenzie Hardwick got her start in gymnastics at WOGA in May 2013. Just a month later, McKenzie was asked to join the team. McKenzie began competing in February 2014 at the WOGA classic as a seven year old level 3. McKenzie competed level 3 through the fall 2014 season and went on to win the vault title as well as the silver medal in the all around at the Texas North State Championships. McKenzie finished her level 3 season at the 2015 WOGa Classic where she won the all around with a huge 38.900.

McKenzie competed level 4 during the fall 2015 season. At the Texas North State Championships, McKenzie placed third on floor and qualified to the State Championships. At State, McKenzie placed second on bars with a 9.850 and fifth all around with a 38.400. McKenzie competed her last year as a compulsory during the spring 2017 season as a level 5.

McKenzie began her optional career in January 2018 as a level 7 at the California Grand Invitational. Here, McKenzie won the beam title. McKenzie continued to improve throughout the season and went on to win the beam title at the Texas State Championships and qualified to the Region 3 Championships. At Regionals, McKenzie had a great meet and finished third all around.

Currently, McKenzie trains 28 hours per week under coaches Adam Duncan and Haiou Sun at WOGA in Frisco, TX. McKenzie is preparing for her 2019 level 8 season where she hopes to finish in the top 3 in the all around at regionals. In the future, McKenzie’s goal is to qualify elite and earn a college scholarship for gymnastics.
