Madison "Maddie" Wilt got her start in gymnastics at the age of six after all of her friends were beginning gymnastics. After Maddie’s first class, she was asked to join pre-team and six months after that she was asked to join her club’s TOPs Program and level 3 team.
In 2016, Maddie competed level 3 with Spring Hill Gymnastics. Maddie had a great first year of competitive gymnastics, and went on to finish third all around at the Illinois State Championships. Following her level 3 season, Maddie tested out of levels 4 and 5.
Maddie’s optional career began in 2017 as a level 6. She continued to improve at ever meet and had her best performance at the Illinois State Championships where she placed third on bars.
As a level 7 in 2018 with Bartlett Gymnastics, Maddie began her season at Leenda’s Island Adventure where she won the floor title, took second all around, and third on bars and beam. Maddie continued to have a great season, and had one of her highlight meets at the UGA Classic where she won the bars title with a 9.800.
Currently, Maddie trains at Midwest Elite Gymnastics. Next season, Maddie’s goal is to score a 38.00 in the all around and get her yurchenko layout, pak salty, and flic lay. Maddie is also aiming to qualify Hopes, and in the future hopes to earn a spot on the U.S. National Team and be a part of the Florida Gators gymnastics team.
