Madison "Maddie" Larson got her start in gymnastics at the age of two. Maddie was originally put in a mommy and me class in a pre-school room at her gym, but didn't want to participate because she wanted to be down stairs with the "big girls." Soon enough, Maddie began taking classes downstairs in the main gym in an advanced pre-school program at Colorado Aerials Gymnastics.

Maddie began competing in 2012 as a level 5 as one of the youngest level 5s in the state at just barely seven years old. At the Colorado State Championships, Maddie finished eighth on floor. The following season, due to the USAG skill/level change, Maddie competed another year of level 5. Maddie had a solid season and finished sixth on bars at state.

As a level 7 during the 2014 season, Maddie kicked off her season at the California Classic where she finished sixth on beam. Maddie continued to improve throughout the season and finished in the top 10 on bars and beam at the Colorado State Championships. From State, Maddie qualified to the Region 3 Championships where she concluded her season. Maddie competed level 8 during the 2015 season and had a great season, finishing third all around at the Colorado State Championships. Maddie qualified to the Region 3 Championships for a second season and took fifth on beam.

Competing her first year of level 9 in 2016, Maddie began her season at the AGA Snowball Express and came home with silver medals on floor and in the all around. Two months later at the Colorado State Championships, Maddie won the floor title and qualified to Regionals. Maddie finished off her season at Regionals with a solid performance in a tough age group.

Maddie competed another season of level 9 in 2017 and finished first on vault and bars at her first meet of her season. In February at the Brestyan's Las Vegas National Elite Qualifier, Maddie earned her Hopes 12-13 compulsory score. One month later at the Colorado State Championships, Maddie had an excellent meet and won the bars and all around titles. Later at the Region 3 Championships, Maddie had another great meet, taking fourth all around and qualifying to the Western Championships. Maddie concluded her season at Westerns with a top 15 finish on vault. Maddie was ready for a great level 10 season in 2018, but unfortunately began her season with an ankle injury. Maddie was able to come back in March for the Colorado State Championships and finished twelfth all around.

In May 2018, Maddie and her family moved to Coppell, Texas and Maddie began training at Texas Dreams Gymnastics. Maddie began training for level 10 and junior elite when she got to Texas Dreams, but it was unfortunately discovered that Maddie had OCD in both elbows. Maddie had surgery on her right elbow, but her left healed on its own and was fully cleared to come back in May 2019.

Currently, Maddie trains at Texas Dreams Gymnastics under coaches Kim, Chris, Marcus, and Alicia. In the future, Maddie hopes to qualify junior elite and earn a college scholarship.
