Lauren Hassen got her start in gymnastics at the age of six in a recreational class. After one month of recreational classes, Lauren was invited to join the team at Cabot Gymnastics Academy. Lauren began competing in January 2015 as a a level 1 and competed level 2 during the 2016 season.

In 2017, Lauren competed level 3 and made it to the Arkansas State Meet where she took second on bars and beam and third all around. The next season, Lauren competed level 4 and had a great season, finishing third on all three events and in the all around at state.

Currently, Lauren trains 22 hours per week under coaches Sara Heil, Laurel Adams, and Dennis Harris at JAX Gymnastics. Next season, Lauren's goal is to finish in the top three in the all around at every meet. In the future, Lauren hopes to become a gymnastics coach.
