Kylee Mangrum got her start in gymnastics at the age of four after she began doing forward rolls at the age of one and handstands at the age of two. By the time she was five, Kylee was invited to join pre-team at The Flip Zone Gymnastics.

Kylee began competing in January 2020 as a level 2. At her first meet, the Wabash Valley Classic, Kylee earned a silver medal on floor and bronze medals on bars and in the all around. In March at the Indiana South State Championships, Kylee came home with a fourth place finish on beam.

Competing level 3 during the 2020-2021 season, Kylee began her season at the GI Gymnast Invitational. Here, Kylee won the beam title, finished second on floor, and third on bars and in the all around. At her next two meets, Kylee finished in the top two on all four events and in the all around. Kylee continued to have a great season and went on to take second on floor and fourth on bars, beam, and in the all around at the Indiana State Championships.

Currently, Kylee trains 20 hours per week under coaches Sami Jones, Tara Wilson, Monti, and Christina Gillette at Westside Gymnastics. Kylee's goal for her 2022 season is to score a 38.00 in the all around. In the future, Kylee hopes to earn a spot on the U.S. National Team and represent Team USA at the World Championships and Olympics.
