Keatyn Leavitt got her start in gymnastics at the age of three in preschool classes. Keatyn loved taking gymnastics classes and as she got older she began to progress and was invited to join team at Buckeye Gymnastics. Keatyn began competing in January 2018 as a level 2, and competed level 3 during the 2018-2019 season.
At Keatyn's first level 3 meet, the Ohio Judges Cup, she finished in the top 5 on beam and floor. In February, Keatyn began training at Gym X-Treme. Keatyn made it all the way to the Ohio State Championships where she concluded her first season of competitive gymnastics. Following the completion of her level 3 season, Keatyn went back to Buckeye Gymnastics. Keatyn competed a second season of level 3 during the 2019-2020 season and competed her first meet at the State-Line Showdown. Here, Keatyn had a great meet winning the bars title and finishing second on beam, floor, and in the all around. Keatyn kicked off her 2021 season at Buckeye Classic where she earned silver on vault and bronze on beam & AA. She concluded her season at the Ohio State Championships placing top 10 all around.
Keatyn started her 2021-2022 season as a level 6 at the Cowtown Classic where she won bars and the all around and won silver medals on beam and floor. She continues to improve throughout her season and has won many titles. In January she competed at the Circle of Stars winning vault and the all around and silver on beam and floor.
Currently, Keatyn trains 12 hours per week and training for TOPs under coach Sasha Timchenko at Buckeye Gymnastics. Keatyn's goal in 2021 is to have a fun level 4 season. In the future, Keatyn wants to continue to have fun with the sport and see what the future holds.
