Kaliya Lincoln was born on April 23, 2006 to Jae and Ken Lincoln. At a young age, Kaliya was always flipping around the house. A friend suggested that Kaliya’s parents put her in a gymnastics class. Kaliya’s parents took her, and Kaliya got her start in gymnastics at the age of four. Kaliya began competing in September 2013 as a level 4 with Top Flight Gymnastics. Kaliya had a solid first season of gymnastics and went on to place sixth on floor at the NorCal State Championships. As a level 5 in 2014, Kaliya had a strong season. At the NorCal State Championships, Kaliya placed second on vault and floor and placed seventh all around.

Following her level 4 season, Kaliya began training at Airborne Gymnastics. During the summer of 2015, Kaliya participated in TOPs Testing and went on to make the TOPs National A Team. Kaliya’s optional career began as a level 7 in 2016 at the National Judges Cup Championships where Kaliya was a part of the NorCal State Team. At this meet, Kaliya took home second on bars and floor and third on vault. Kaliya also helped Team NorCal take home the team title. Kaliya finished her level 7 season at the NorCal State Championships where she won the floor title, placed second on vault, and third on beam.

After her level 7 season, Kaliya continued to train upgrades for her 2017 season. After learning so many new skills and progressing quickly, Kaliya skipped level 8 and competed her 2017 season as a level 9 as well as with a goal to qualify Hopes. Kaliya began her 2017 level 9 season at the Lady Luck Invitational where she won the vault and floor titles with scores of 9.800 and 9.825 respectively, as well as the all around title with a 38.275. Up until the NorCal State Championships, Kaliya went undefeated in the all around. In February, Kaliya competed in the Brestyan’s Las Vegas National Elite Qualifier. On the first day of competition, Kaliya competed in the Hopes Compulsory Qualifier. Kaliya earned her Hopes compulsory score, by over 2.5 points, and also had the highest Hopes 10-11 vault, floor, and all around compulsory scores. On the second day of competition, Kaliya competed her optional routines. Kaliya had another successful day of competition and earned her Hopes optional score, qualifying Hopes and to the Hopes Classic. Kaliya also won the Hopes 10-11 vault title by over a point with a 14.050. At the NorCal State Championships, Kaliya won the vault, bars, and floor titles as well as a bronze in the all around with a 38.125. Kaliya moved on to the Region 1 Championships where she had the meet of her life. At regionals, Kaliya won the vault, beam, floor, and all around titles with a 39.075, qualifying to the Western Championships. Kaliya had another great meet at Westerns, winning the vault, floor, and all around titles. Although Kaliya’s level 9 season was done, her Hopes season was just beginning. On July 8, Kaliya competed at the Hopes Classic, a qualifier to the Hopes Championships. In order for Kaliya to qualify for the Hopes Championships, she would have to score a 45.000 in the all around as well as place in the top 18 in the Hopes 10-11 division. Kaliya had a fantastic meet, winning the all around with a 52.000 as well as the vault and floor titles, qualifying to the Hopes Championships. With no surprise, Kaliya also had a great meet at the Hopes Championships. Kaliya won the all around title by over a point, and took home gold medals on vault and floor as well, closing out a terrific 2017 season.

Coming off of a great 2017 level 9 and Hopes season, Kaliya opened up her 2018 season as a level 10 at the California Grand Invitational. Here, Kaliya won the vault, floor, and all around titles. Two weeks later, Kaliya competed at the Fiesta Bowl National Elite Qualifier. Kaliya earned both her Junior Elite compulsory and optional scores at the qualifier, qualifying as a Junior International Elite and to the American and US Classic. In early February, Kaliya competed at the Pikes Peak Cup, placing third on bars, floor, and in the all around. Kaliya also qualified for the event finals at this meet for floor, and placed third at event finals. Two weeks later, Kaliya competed in the international elite session of the WOGA Classic. Even though it was Kaliya’s first international meet, she handled it like a pro, taking second on vault, and third on floor and in the all around. Kaliya closed out her level 10 season at the NorCal State Championships. Kaliya had an amazing competition, and won the beam and floor titles as well as the all around with a 38.500. Even though Kaliya qualified to the Region 1 Championships, she did not compete in order to prepare for her elite season.

At the beginning of July, Kaliya competed at the American Classic in Salt Lake City, UT. Kaliya had a strong competition, winning the floor title and finishing fifth on beam. Three weeks later, Kaliya competed as one of the youngest competitors at the GK U.S. Classic. Here, Kaliya concluded her season with a sixth place finish on floor.

In 2019, Kaliya competed level 10 and began her season at the Long Beach Open where she won the beam, floor, and all around titles. One month later at the NorCal State Championships, Kaliya had a fantastic competition, coming home with gold medals on vault, floor, and all around as well as a silver on beam.

Currently, Kaliya trains 30 hours per week under coach Cale Robinson at Airborne Gymnastics Training Center.
