Kaelyn Kane got her start in gymnastics at the age of three through the park district. Kaelyn quickly took to gymnastics and began competing in fall 2016 as a level 3. Kaelyn went on to compete in the Illinois State Championships where she earned a bronze medal on vault and finished fifth all around. During the summer of 2017, Kaelyn participated in TOPs Testing as a seven year old and made the TOPs National Diamond Team.

In November 2017, Kaelyn began competing level 4. At her first meet of the season, the Paul Hamm Thanksgiving Classic, Kaelyn won the bars title and earned third all around. Kaelyn continued to improve throughout the season and finished her season at the Illinois State Championships where she earned second on bars. Kaelyn participated in TOPs Testing for a second season during summer 2018. From state testing, Kaelyn qualified to TOPs National Testing and from there made the TOPs National A Team.

Kaelyn began her 2018-2019 level 6 season at the Paul Hamm Thanksgiving Classic. Here, Kaelyn placed in the top 5 on bars and beam.

Currently, Kaelyn trains 16.5 hours per week under coaches Diane O'Brien, and Jessica and Ashley Enke at Premier West Gymnastics. In the future, Kaelyn's goal is to earn a college schoalrship to a division 1 school for gymnastics.
