Jenna Kidd got her start in gymnastics at the age of five after seeing gymnastics on TV and wanting to give it a try. Jenna started out in recreational classes but was motivated and interested to be in a group with older girls so her coach would let her spend time with the team girls. Not long after Jenna was invited to join the team program at Peak Gymnastics where she learned her level 2 routines.

Jenna began competing in November 2015 as a level 3 with Virginia Techniques Gymnastics. At her first meet, the Commonwealth Games, Jenna came in fifth on bars. At her next meet, the Greensboro Gymnastics Invitational, Jenna won the bars title, came in second on floor, and third in the all around. In May at the Virginia State Championships, Jenna came home with a silver medal on vault and sixth place finish on beam.

As a level 4 during the 2016-2017 season, Jenna kicked off her season at the Techniques Invitational where she won the floor title, came in second on bars and beam, and took third in the all around. In April at the Virginia State Championships, Jenna finished in the top ten on vault. Jenna competed one more meet of level 3 in November 2017 at the Techniques Invitational and came home with gold medals on vault, bars, and in the all around. Jenna tested out of level 5 three weeks later at the Gymstrada Invitational.

Jenna began her optional career in January 2018 as a level 6 at the Rock Star Invitational where she won the beam title and finished fourth all around. Two months later at the Virginia State Championships, Jenna concluded her season with a fourth place finish on bars and eighth place all around finish.

As a level 7 during the 2018-2019 season, Jenna kicked off her season at the Techniques Invitational. Here, Jenna won the bars title and came home with bronze medals on vault and in the all around. Jenna had her best performance of her season at the Apollo Invitational where she won the all around title with a 37.525. She also finished second on beam. In March at the Virginia State Championships, Jenna came in fifth on floor and seventh on bars, beam, and in the all around.

Competing level 8 in 2020, Jenna began her season at the Rock Star Invitational with a fourth place finish on beam. Jenna was able to compete three more meets before the season was canceled due to COVID-19. Jenna competed a second season of level 8 during the 2020-2021 season and began her season at the Techniques Invitational. Jenna continued to improve throughout the season and went on to win the bars, beam, floor, and all around titles at the Virginia State Championships as well as take home a bronze medal on vault. From state, Jenna qualified to represent the Virginia State Team at the Region 7 Championships. Jenna concluded her season at regionals bringing home a gold medal on beam.

Jeanna began her 2021-2022 level 9 season at the Techniques Invitational. Here, Jenna came in second on bars and in the all around as well as third on beam and floor. She then competed at Christmas on the Chesapeake where she placed top 5 on bars and top 10 in the all around.

Currently, Jenna trains 24 hours per week under coach Cheryl Johnson at Virginia Techniques Gymnastics. In the future, Jenna hopes to earn a college scholarship for gymnastics.
