Isabel Stassi got her start in gymnastics at the age of six. She quickly progressed and began competing at age seven as a level 3 in December 2015 with Five-Star Gymnastics. From state, Isabel qualified to the Region 5 Championships where she had a great meet and placed fifth all around with a 38.025. In June, Isabel competed in the Brestyan’s National Elite Qualifier. Isabel just missed her optional score, but had a great meet for it being her first year of Hopes and her first National Qualifier.

Isabel began her 2018-2019 season at the Parkettes Elite Compulsory qualifier in December where she earned her Hopes 10-11 compulsory score. Two weeks later, Isabel competed level 9 at the Ron Ganim Legends Invitational, winning the beam title and taking third all around. In January, Isabel competed her first level 10 meet at the X-Treme Challenge. Five weeks later, Isabel competed in the Biles National Elite Qualifier and earned her Hopes 10-11 optional score, qualifying Hopes and to the Hopes Classic.

Currently, Isabel trains 32 hours per week under coach Stephen Darrigo at Five Star Gymnastics in Ohio. The plan for Isabel for the 2019 season is for her to test out of level 9 and compete 10.
