Due her abundant amount of energy, Isabella got her start in gymnastics at the age of three. Isabella began competing with Perpetual Motion Gymnastics Center. Following the spring 2011 level 5 season, Isabella participated in TOPs Testing and competed level 5 during the fall season with Midwest Gymnastics Center. Isabella finished her season at the IGI Chicago Style meet where she placed in the top 10 on beam, floor, and all around.

In September 2012, Isabella began competing with Twin City Twisters as a level 6. At her first meet of the season, the Flips Fall Hoedown, Isabella won the bars and all around titles. Isabella continued to have a solid season and went on to place second on vault and sixth all around at the Minnesota State Championships.

Isabella’s optional career began in winter 2013. At state, Isabella had a great meet. Isabella competed level 8 during the 2013-2014 season. At her first meet of the season, the Peppermint Twist, Isabella placed in the top 5 on beam and in the all around. Throughout the season, Isabella continued to improve and finished fourth on bars and fifth on beam and in the all around at the Minnesota State Championships.

Isabella competed level 9 during both the 2015 and 2016 optional seasons. In her first year as a level 9, Isabella placed second on bars and fifth all around at the Region 4 Championships, qualifying to the Western Championships. Isabella had another solid competition at Westerns and finished in the top 10 on bars. Isabella kicked off her second season of level 9 at the 26th Annual Peppermint Twist where she won the beam title and took home silvers on floor and in the all around. At the Minnesota State Championships, Isabella finished fourth on vault and beam and beam and fifth on bars and in the all around. Isabella moved on to the Region 4 Championships where she won the vault and all around titles and qualified to the Western Championships for the second year. Isabella had a fantastic performance at Westerns and went on to earn silver medals on bars and in the all around as well as medals on beam and floor.

In December 2016, Isabella competed her first meet of level 10 at the Peppermint Twist. Here, she earned the bronze medal on bars. At the Minnesota State Championships, Isabella finished fourth on bars and moved on to the Region 4 Championships. At regionals, Isabella placed third on bars and seventh all around, qualifying to the JO National Championships as a first year level 10. Isabella finished her season at JO Nationals where she had her best meet of the season.

Isabella began her 2017-2018 season at the Peppermint Twist meet where she won the vault and all around titles. Isabella had great performances throughout the regular season and went on to compete at the Minnesota State Championships where she placed fifth on vault and sixth all around. At regionals, Isabella earned a bronze medal on beam and placed sixth all around, qualifying to JO Nationals for the second time. At JO Nationals, Isabella had her best performance of the year.

Currently, Isabella trains 25 hours per week under coaches Steve Hafeman, Sami Wozney, Sarah Jantzi, and Mike Hunger at Twin City Twisters in Minnesota. Next season, Isabella’s goal is to consistently score a 38.00 in the all around. In the future, Isabella hopes to earn a scholarship for gymnastics to a division 1 school.
