With having older sisters in gymnastics, Isabella George loved watching her sisters and couldn't wait to begin taking classes. Isabella began taking classes at the age of two and began competing at the age of six as a level 2 with ACROS Gymnastics. In her first season of competitive gymnastics, Isabella made it to the Indiana State Championships where she won the vault, bars, beam, and all around titles.
Following her 2016-2017 level 2 season, Isabella began training at In The Zone Gymnastics. Isabella tested out of level 3 to compete level 4 during the 2018 season. At her first level 4 meet, the Ozone Invitational, Isabella took first place on vault. Two months later at the Indiana State Championships, Isabella finished in the top 10 on vault and floor. Isabella competed a second season of level 4 during the 2018-2019 season and finished sixth on beam at state.
As a level 5 during the 2019-2020 season, Isabella began her season at the Hoosier Cup where she finished second on bars and in the all around. Isabella was able to get four more meets in before the season was unfortunately canceled due to COVID-19.
Isabella began her optional career in December 2020 as a level 6 at the Indiana Judges Cup. Here, Isabella finished third on beam and floor. Three months later at the Indiana State Championships, Isabella concluded her season and scored her highest all around score of the season with a 37.175 and finished eighth on bars.
In 2021 Isabella kicked off her season at the Flip For A Cause meet where she placed top 5 on beam. She had a good season progressing each meet and qualified to the Indiana State Championships. Here, she placed top 10 on bars and top 15 AA. Isabella concluded her season at the Indiana Level 6 region Championships placing top 5 on bars, beam and all around.
Isabella started her 2022 season as a level 7 at the Hoosier Cup where she placed top 5 on floor and top 10 in the all around. She then competed at the Jaycie Phelps Midwest Showdown earning a bronze medal on bars and a top 10 finish in the all around.
Currently, Isabella trains 16 hours per week under coaches Gennadii Samsonov and Svetlana Samsonova at In The Zone Athletic Center. Isabella also hopes to continue to progress through the levels and compete for a college gymnastics team one day.
