With having older sisters in gymnastics, Isabella George loved watching her sisters and couldn't wait to begin taking classes. Isabella began taking classes at the age of two and began competing at the age of six as a level 2 with ACROS Gymnastics. In her first season of competitive gymnastics, Isabella made it to the Indiana State Championships where she won the vault, bars, beam, and all around titles.
Following her 2016-2017 level 2 season, Isabella began training at In The Zone Gymnastics. Isabella tested out of level 3 to compete level 4 during the 2018 season. At her first level 4 meet, the Ozone Invitational, Isabella took first place on vault. Two months later at the Indiana State Championships, Isabella finished in the top 10 on vault and floor. Isabella competed a second season of level 4 during the 2018-2019 season and finished sixth on beam at state.
As a level 5 during the 2019-2020 season, Isabella began her season at the Hoosier Cup where she finished second on bars and in the all around. Isabella was able to get four more meets in before the season was unfortunately canceled due to COVID-19.
Isabella began her optional career in December 2020 as a level 6 at the Indiana Judges Cup. Here, Isabella finished third on beam and floor. Three months later at the Indiana State Championships, Isabella scored her highest all around score of the season with a 37.175 and finished eighth on bars.
Currently, Isabella trains 16 hours per week under coaches Gennadii Samsonov and Svetlana Samsonova at In The Zone Athletic Center. Isabella's goal for her 2020-2021 level 6 season is to score a 9.0 on each event and earn first place all around in at least one meet. Isabella also hopes to continue to progress through the levels and compete for a college gymnastics team one day.
