Biography
Hannah Schwartz got her start in gymnastics at the age of five in tumbling classes. When she was younger, Hannah did dance and cheer on top of gymnastics, but decided to focus fully on gymnastics. Hannah began competing in 2012 as a level 4 with All-Star Athletics. In her first season of competitive gymnastics, Hannah took fifth on vault and floor at the Pennsylvania State Championships. In 2013 as a level 5, Hannah took sixth on bars at state. Due to the USAG Skill/Level change in the fall of 2013, Hannah competed another year of level 5 in 2014 as she began training at Gymsport Gymnastics and finished in the top 10 on beam and floor at state.
Hannah began her optional career in the fall of 2014 as a level 7 at the Wild Wild West Invitational. Here, Hannah won the bars title and finished fourth all around. Hannah concluded her season in April 2015 at the Pennsylvania State Championships.
Following her 2014-2015 level 7 season, Hannah and her family moved to Arizona and Hannah began training at Desert Lights Gymnastics. Hannah competed level 8 in 2016 and began her season at the Flames Invitational and earned a bronze medal on bars. Two months later at the Arizona State Championships, Hannah won a silver medal on bars and qualified to the Region 1 Championships. Hannah finished up her season at regionals and took seventh on bars.
Hannah competed a second season of level 8 during the 2017 season and finished in the top 10 on bars and in the all around at state. Hannah also qualified to the Region 1 Championships for a second year in a row.
As a first year level 9 in 2018, Hannah began her season at the Palm Springs Cup. In March at state, Hannah finished fourth on bars and sixth on vault. Hannah concluded her season at regionals taking ninth on bars. Hannah competed a second season of level 9 in 2019 and finished fourth on floor and sixth all around at state. One month later at Regionals, Hannah had one of her best all around performances. Hannah competed her third year of level 9 during the partial 2020 season and qualified to the Arizona State Championships. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hannah's season was cut short as the remainder of the season was canceled.
Currently, Hannah trains 20 hours per week under coaches Lisa Spini & Bob Peterson at Desert Lights Gymnastics. Hannah's goal for the 2021 season is to compete level 10. In the future, Hannah hopes to earn a college scholarship for gymnastics.
