Grace Knurek got her start in gymnastics at the age of seven. Grace took a recreational class at a local gym and fell in love with the sport. Quickly after starting gymnastics, a coach approached Grace and invited her to try out for team. Grace then began competing in 2015 as a level 2 with Five Star Gymnastics. Grace had a great first season of gymnastics and went on to win the vault, beam, floor, and all around titles at the Ohio State Championships.

Following her level 2 season, Grace skipped level 3 and began competing level 4 in December 2015. Grace had a great level 4 season and repeated her Ohio State floor and all around titles.

Skipping level 5, Grace began her optional career in December 2016 as a level 6 at The Cup where she placed second on beam. Throughout the rest of the season, Grace competed level 7 and once again defended her Ohio State all around title and also took home another gold medal on beam. From state, Grace qualified to the Region 5 Championships as a member of the Ohio State Team where she won the vault tile and took second on floor and in the all around.

As a level 8 during the 2017-2018 season, Grace kicked off her season at the Cowtown Classic where she won the vault and beam titles. Throughout the rest of the season, Grace finished in the top three in the all around at each of her competitions. In March at the Ohio State Championships, Grace won the vault, beam, and floor titles and finished second all around. For the second time in her career, Grace qualified to represent the Ohio State Team at the Region 5 Championships and one month later at the Region 5 Championships, Grace had a fantastic meet and came home with the vault, beam, floor, and all around titles.

Grace kicked off her 2019 season as a level 9 at the Buckeye Classic and came home with silver medals on vault and beam and a bronze medal on floor. Grace continued to improve throughout the season and took first on vault and beam at the Ohio State Championships. Grace concluded her season at the Region 5 Championships and came home as the vault champion.

Currently, Grace turns 20 hours per week under coach Jared Nun at Gymnastics World Ohio. In the future, Grace's goal is to earn a college scholarship for gymnastics to a Divison 1 School.
