Gabriella “Gabi” Beauchesne got her start in gymnastics at the age of seven after she had been in dance for four years and wanted to try gymnastics. In the Spring of 2015, Gabi began competing as a level 3 at the age of 8. At the 2015 Utah State Championships, Gabi took home the gold on floor and vault, and the silver on bars, beam, and in the all around. As a level 4 in 2016, Gabi suffered an injury right before State but decided to compete anyway. At State, Gabi placed fifth on bars and in the top 10 in the all around.
Gabi competed level 5 during the Spring 2017 season and had a great season, winning the two meets prior to the State Meet. At the State Championships, Gabi finished first on floor and second on vault, bars and in the all around. As a level 7 in 2018, Gabi had a great start to her season at the Tampa Bay Turners Invite where she finished sixth on bars. Gabi continued to improve throughout the season and finished first on bars and third all around at the Utah Level 7 State Championships. Gabi completed her level 7 season at the Region 1 Championships where she medaled on vault.
As a level 8 in 2019, Gabi began her season at the Lady Luck Invitational where she took third on bars and fifth on floor. Gabi continued to improve with each and every meet throughout the season and went on to take third on vault, bars, and in the all around at the Utah State Championships. Gabi qualified to the Region 1 Championships for the second year in a row and had her best meet of the season at Regionals, taking second on beam and eighth all around.
Currently, Gabi is training 21 hours per week under coaches Kyra Falsev, JD Grosvenor, and Michelle Boyer. Right now, Gabi is competing level 7. In the future, Gabi hopes to earn a college scholarship for gymnastics.
