Biography
Emmerson Beale got her start in gymnastics at the age of two in preschool gymnastics classes. Emerson loved being in the gym from the start and was invited to join the team program at Texas East Gymnastics as she was old enough.
Emmerson began competing in March 2015 as a level 2. At her first meet, the Rose City Classic, Emerson won the beam title with a 9.700. Emerson competed level 2 through January 2016 and concluded her season at the Rose City Classic where she won the bars, beam, floor, and all around titles.
As a level 3 during the 2016 season, Emmerson began her season at the District Qualifier where she came in fourth on bars. In October at the District Championships, Emmerson finished eighth on bars and qualified to the Texas Nrorth State Championships. At North State, Emmerson took sixth on bars. Emmerson competed a second year of level 3 during the fall 2017 season. At her first meet, the Flower Power District Qualifier, Emmerson won the vault title with a 9.700. Emmerson concluded her season at the Texas North State Championships with a seventh place finish on bars and eighth place finish on floor.
Competing level 4 during the 2018 season, Emmerson kicked off her season at the GGG District Qualifier. Here, Emmerson finished in the top five on vault, bars, and in the all around. Emmerson continued to improve throughout the season and had her best competition of her season at the Texas North State Championships. Here, Emmerson came in sixth on bars and eighth all around.
During the summer of 2019, Emmerson participated in TOPs Testing. From state testing, Emmerson qualified to National Testing as one of the top 100 ten year olds in the country.
Emmerson began her optional career as a level 7 in January 2020 at the Texas Prime Meet. Here, Emmerson finished eighth on bars. Emmerson had her best performance of her season at the Rose City Classic where she came home with a silver medal on bars and placed seventh in the all around. Unfortunately, Emmerson's season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Emmerson kicked off her 2021 season as a level 8 at the Biles Invitational. Here, Emmerson finished in the top ten on vault. Emerson competed one more meet as a level 8 and then went on to compete level 7 the remainder of the season. In April at the Texas State Championships, Emmerson won the bars title with a 9.875 and finished third all around with a 37.725. From state, Emmerson qualified to the Region 3 Championships where she concluded her season with a second place finish on bars and fifth place finish in the all around.
Currently, Emmerson trains 20 hours per week under coaches Alyssa Davis, Martin Parsley, Stacy Panfil-Parsley, and Chuck Dickerson at Texas East Gymnastics. In the future, Emmerson hopes to earn a college scholarship for gymnastics.
