Emma Rowzer got her start in gymnastics at the age of one. Her mom was an NCAA Division 1 gymnast, so she wanted to get Emma started in gymnastics. Emma loved being in the gym from the start and as she got older she progressed through the levels. Once she was old enough, Emma was invited to join the team program at Pinnacle Gymnastics.
Emma began competing in December 2018 as a level 3. At her first meet, the Pinnacle Pacer Invitational, Emma finished second on beam and sixth all around. Three months later at the Kansas State Championships, Emma finished in the top ten on vault and floor.
Competing level 4 during the 2019-2020 season, Emma kicked off her season at the Pinnacle Pacer Invitational. Here, Emma earned a bronze medal on bars and fourth place finishes on floor and in the all around. Emma was able to compete three more meets before the remainder of the season was canceled due to COVID-19. Emma had her best performance of her season at the Pink Ribbon Invitational where she finished in the top five on vault, bars, floor, and in the all around.
As a level 5 in 2021, Emma began her season at the NYI Meet where she won the floor title and came in second on bars and in the all around. Two months later at the Kansas State Championships, Emma concluded her season coming home with a bronze medal on vault and a fifth place finish on bars.
Emma began her optional career in December 2021 as a level 6 at the Kansas Judges cup where she finished second on floor and in the all around. At her next meet, the Pinnacle Pacer Invitational, Emma won the all around title as well as second on bars, beam, and floor. In January 2022 Emma competed at the JAG New Year's Invitational where she earned a silver medal on bars and a bronze medal on floor. In March Emma won the floor title, silver in the all around and bronze on beam at the Northern Lights Classic meet.
Currently, Emma trains 15 hours per week under coaches Morgan Kuchynka and Hannah Thomas at Pinnacle Gymnastics. Emma's goal for her 2022 season is to learn a giant by herself on the high bar. In the future, Emma hopes to earn a college scholarship to a Division 1 school for gymnastics.
