Biography
Emily Brunner began teaching herself gymnastics at the age of five. Once she mastered her cartwheel she spent her time cartwheeling all over Europe. Upon moving back to the states at age eight, her parents signed her up for a beginner gymnastics trial class. She was invited to the competition team that same day. She chose to join xcel bronze and spent the next two months training fast for competition season. She finished her bronze season at state that year with a bronze on bars and silver medals on beam, floor and all around.
Following her successful bronze season she moved to level 4. She started the season strong collecting more 1st and 2nd place finishes to have the season cut short due to covid. Fall of 2020 she returned to the competition floor and competed at the Utah state compulsory meet where she placed 2nd on floor and bars and finished 7th overall.
After scoring out of level 5, in a mobility meet, Emily will compete level 6 beginning December of 2021. She’s the youngest and smallest on her team, at age 11, but she has big goals and works hard to achieve them. She’s excited for the season to begin.
Currently, Emily trains at USA Gym World. Emily's goal for her 2022 season is to score a 8.0 on bars and a 33.00 in the all around. In the future, Emily hopes to compete for a college gymnastics team.
