Emersen Settlemire got her start in gymnastics at the age of two in mommy and me classes. From a young age, Emersen loved being in the gym and once she was old enough, was invited to join pre-team. Emersen began competing in the fall of 2018 as a level 3 with Achievers Gymnastics Center. As a level 3, Emerson had great improvement throughout the season and made it to the District 2 Championships.

Competing level 4 in the fall of 2019, Emersen began her season at the District 2 Qualifier where she earned a bronze medal on bars. In October at the District 2 Championships, Emersen finished in the top 10 on floor and qualified to the Texas North State Championships. Emersen concluded her fall season at the North State Championships with a fourth place finish on bars. In the spring of 2020, Emersen competed in two meets as a level 4 and won the bars title at the Friends of Achievers Invitational with a 9.500.

Currently, Emersen trains 17 hours per week under coaches Marcella Lovegrove & Michael White at Achievers Gymnastics Center. Emersen hopes to compete level 6 during the spring 2021 season. Her goal for the future is to earn a college scholarship for gymnastics.
