Elodie Nguyen got her start in gymnastics at the age of four after attending an open gym session and falling in love with gymnastics right away. Elodie began taking pre-school gymnastics classes and four months later was invited to join pre-team at Gymnastics USA. Elodie began competing in September 2019 as a level 1. At her first meet, the Gasparilla Invitational, Elodie came in the top five on vault, bars, and floor. Two months later at the Florida State Championships, Elodie earned the bronze medal on vault.
Competing level 3 during the 2020-2021 season, Elodie began her season at the Fright Invite where she finished second on floor. In January at the Suncoast Sports Festival, Elodie had her best meet of her season winning the beam and all around titles. Two weeks later at the Florida State Championships, Elodie finished in the top five on all four events and in the all around.
As a level 4 in 2021, Elodie kicked off her seas on at the Aloha Invitational. Here, Elodie came in sixth on vault. In December at the Florida State Championships, Elodie came in seventh on vault and bars. Currently, Elodie trains 20 hours per week under coaches Zander Arthur, Lexi Burns, and Brittany Wilburn at Gymnastics USA. Elodie's goal for her 2022 season is to score a 38.00 in the all around and continue to grow and rise to the challenge of gymnastics. In the future, Elodie hopes to go to the Olympics, compete at the collegiate level, and eventually open up her own gymnastics club.
