Elizabeth Schauer started gymnastics at the young age of 15 months in a mommy and me class. In 2008 as a level 4, Elizabeth began competing level 4 with Racine Gymnastics Center. Elizabeth finished her season at the Wisconsin State Championships and began competing level 5 in fall 2010. After competing at the Wisconsin State Championships, Elizabeth competed in her last year of compulsories as a level 6.
Elizabeth began her optional career in 2013 as a level 7 at the WCGC Winter Luau. Elizabeth qualified to the Wisconsin State Championships. In 2014, Elizabeth competed a second year of level 7 and completed her season at State where she finished in the top 15 on vault, bars, and floor.
After finishing her level 7 season, Elizabeth began training at Altius Gymnastics Academy. In her first level 8 meet, Elizabeth finished third on bars and fourth all around. At the Wisconsin State Championships, Elizabeth had a great meet and finished eighth all around, qualifying to the Region 4 Championships. At regionals, Elizabeth placed in the top 10 on floor. Elizabeth repeated level 8 for the 2016 season, but finished her season early at the Dairy Aire Invitational where she finish fifth all around. Elizabeth competed her first year of level 9 in 2017, and finished fifth on vault at state. At the Region 4 Championships, Elizabeth finished fourth on bars and eighth on vault.
Elizabeth opened up her 2018 level 9 season at the St. Jude Benefit Meet where she finished second on bars and in the all around. Elizabeth continued to improve throughout the season and took home the gold medal on bars at state as well as silver medals on vault and in the all around. At the Region 4 Championships, Elizabeth placed fifth on bars.
Elizabeth began her 2019 level 10 season at the Hang 10.0 Invitational where she took second on vault and floor.
Currently, Elizabeth trains 18 hours per week under coaches Jill Damora, Bill Wall, and Brandon Robb at Altius Gymnastics Academy. In the future, Elizabeth hopes to compete gymnastics in college.
