Elianna Moody got her start in gymnastics just before turning three after watching the 2012 Olympics with her sister and wanting to try gymnastics. Elianna progressed through classes and was ultimately invited to join the team program at Legacy Elite Gymnastics. In January 2016, Elianna began level 3. At her first meet, the Legacy Elite Winter Classic, Elianna came in second on vault and bars. Two months later at the Illinois State Championships, Elianna won a silver medal on bars and a bronze medal in the all around. During the summer of 2016, Elianna participated in TOPs Testing and made the seven year old Diamond Team.
Competing level 4 in 2017 season, Elianna began her season at Leenda's Island Adventure where she took second on beam. In March at the Illinois State Championships, Elianna finished in the top 10 on vault and bars. During the summer of 2017, Elianna participated in TOPs again and went on to qualify for national testing where she finished as one of the top 100 eight year olds in the country.
Elianna kicked off her 2018 level 5 season at Leenda's Island Adventure. Here, Elianna won the bars title and came in third all around. Elianna had an overall solid level 5 season and went on to finish fourth on bars at the Illinois State Championships. For a third year in a row, Elianna once again participated in TOPs Testing during the summer of 2018. For a second year, Elianna qualified to TOPs National Testing and finished as one of the top 100 nine year olds in the US.
Elianna began her optional career in January 2019 as a level 7 at Leenda's Island Adventure. Elianna had a great kick-off to her season with her winning the all around title as well as second on floor and third on vault and beam. Elianna continued to have a great level 7 season and finished fifth on beam at state. From state, Elianna qualified to her first Region 5 Championships. Elianna finished her regional meet with a fifth place finish on bars.
Elianna participated in her fourth and final year in TOPs during the summer of 2019. From state testing, Elianna qualified to her third National Testing. Elianna had a great National Testing and finished as one of the top 45 8-10 year olds and was named to the TOPs National A Team.
As a level 8 in 2020, Elianna began her season at the California Grand Invitational where she finished fourth on bars and beam. Elianna was able to compete four more meets before the remainder of the season was canceled due to COVID-19. Of these meets, Elianna had her best competition at the Biles International Invitational. Here, Elianna scored a 37.000 in the all around and came in fifth on bars with a 9.700.
Following her 2020 level 8 season, Elianna began training at Phenom Gymnastics. Elianna began her 2020-2021 level 9 season at the Aspire Classic and came home with gold medals on beam, floor, and in the all around. Elianna improved throughout the season and her her best meet at the Kinetic Classic where she won the beam, floor, and all around titles with a 37.000. At the end of March at the Illinois State Championships, Elianna won silver medals on beam and in the all around as well as a bronze on floor. Three weeks later at the Region 5 Championships, Elianna came in sixth on beam and ninth all around. With her all around finish at regionals, Elianna qualified as a first alternate as a part of the Region 5 team for the Level 9 Eastern Championships.
Elianna kicked off her 2021-2022 season at the Aspire Classic where she won the all around and a silver medal on bars. She then competed at the Bravo Classic where she won bars, beam, and all around and bronze on floor. In February Eliana won bronze medals on bars, beam, and all around at the Greensboro Invitational.
Currently, Elianna trains 19 hours per week under coaches Jessica Holtz and Marco Bravo at Phenom Gymnastics. Elianna's current goal is to get all of her level 10 skills. In the future, Elianna hopes to earn a college scholarship for gymnastics.
