Chayce Patton began gymnastics at the age of three after her mom saw an advertisement for Olympiad Gymnastics. After just one class, Chayce loved it and at age four was invited to join the club's team. Chayce began competing in January 2018 as a level 2 and won the vault, bars, beam, and all around titles at her first meet. Halfway through her season, Chayce was invited to join Olympiad's Elite Development Program. Chayce then went on to take second on vault, bars, and in the all around at the Delaware State Championships.
Chayce competed a second season of level 2 during the 2018-2019 season and kicked off her season at the Turkey Meet Invitational where she won all four events and the all around. In March, Chayce competed at the Delaware State Championships and had a great meet, winning the bars, beam, and all around titles.
Just one month after her level 2 state meet, Chayce competed her first level 4 meet at the Handsprings for Hope Invitational where she took second on bars.
Currently, Chayce trains 25-30 hours per week under coaches Sue and Steve Heitz at Olympiad Gymnastics. In the near future, Chayce's goal is to test out of level 4 and score a perfect 10.0 on bars. In the future, Chayce's goal is to earn a spot on the US Olympic Team and earn a scholarship to the University of Florida for gymnastics.
