Charlotte Elzinga got started in gymnastics at 3.5 years old when she attended a gymnastics birthday party and the rest was history. Charlotte attended a few recreational classes and was quickly invited to join pre-team. At the age of five she was invited to join the team program at Advantage Gymnastics Academy.
In 2020 Charlotte kicked off her very first competition season as a level 2 at the 2020 Battle in Bellevue meet. Here, she earned bronze medals on vault and beam and a silver in the all around. Charlotte was able to compete two more meets before the COVID-19 pandemic cut the season short.
Kicking off her 2021 season as a level 3, Charlotte competed at the Advantage Home meet where she earned bronze medals on bars, floor and in the all around. A month later at the Third Time's a Charm meet, Charlotte won the vault title and a bronze medal on floor. Charlotte concluded her season at the Compulsory State Championships winning the bars, beam, floor and all around titles with a 38.050. In the summer Charlotte participated in TOPs state testing and earned a spot on the 2021 Diamond Team.
In 2022 Charlotte started her 2022 level 4 season at the Battle in Bellevue Meet winning a bronze medal on beam. She then competed at Freedom Invitational winning the bars, floor, and all around titles as well as a silver on beam.
Currently, Charlotte trains 16 hours a week under coaches Stephanie Renggli and Deb Voss. Charlotte's goals for her 2022 season is to qualify to the Washington State Championships and gain the skills to TOPs test as an eight year old in the summer. In the future Charlotte hopes to become a collegiate gymnast.
