Carlee Bethune got her start in gymnastics at the age of five. Carlee began in recreational classes and quickly fell in love with the sport. Eventually, Carlee was invited to join the team program at Legacy Gymnastics Academy.

Carlee began competing in February 2019 as a level 3. Carlee competed one meet of level 3 in 2019 and then went on to compete level 4 in 2021. After her first level 4 meet in January 2021, Carlee began training at Pearland Elite. At her first level 4 meet with Pearland Elite, the Yellow Rose Invitational, Carlee finished in the top ten on bars and beam. Carlee kicked off her fall 2021 level 4 season at the I Love the 80s District Qualifier. Here, Carlee won the floor title and came in fourth on beam and in the all around. In October at the District Championships, Carlee won the beam title and came in fifth all around, qualifying to the Texas South State Championships At South State, Carlee came home with a silver medal on beam and bronze medal on floor. Carlee also qualified to the Texas State Championships. Carlee concluded her season at the Texas State Championships, earning a bronze medal on beam and top five finishes on floor and in the all around.

Currently, Carlee trains 16 hours per week under coaches Joanne and Clint at Pearland Elite Gymnastics. In the future, Carlee hopes to compete for a college gymnastics team.
