Camryn Platt got her start in gymnastics at the age of five in recreational classes. Camryn loved being in the gym from the start and progressed through classes. Eventually, Camryn was invited to join the team program at Hotshots Gymnastics. Camryn competed her first season of gymnastics in 2015 as a level 4. Camryn repeated level 4 during the 2016 season and finished in the top five on vault at the New York State Championships.

Camryn tested out of level 5 and went on to compete level 6 during the 2017 season. At her first level 6 meet, New Years Blast, Camryn finished in the top ten on vault, bars, and beam. Camryn had her best meet of her season at the Mother's Day Madness meet where she won the bars and all around titles. Camryn concluded her season in May at the New York State Championships. Camryn competed a second season of level 6 during the 2017-2018 season and began her season at the Judges Cup Balloon Classic. Here, Camryn came in second on bars and in the all around. At her next five meets, Camryn finished in the top three in the all around and won the all around at three of them. At the New York State Championships in April, Camryn won the bars title and finished third in the all around.

Competing level 7 during the 2018-2019 season, Camryn kicked off her season at the Balloon Classic Invitational where she finished sixth on bars. At her next meet, New Years Blast, Camryn won the bars and floor titles and took second on beam and in the all around. Camryn continued to improve throughout the season and went on to finish in the top five on vault, bars, floor and in the all around at the New York State Championships. From state, Camryn qualified to the Region 6 Championships. At regionals, Camryn came in fourth on floor and sixth all around.

Camryn competed a second year of level 7 during the 2019-2020 season and began her season at the LI Winter Classic. Camryn progressed at each of her meets and was able to compete four more meets before the remainder of the season was canceled due to COVID-19. Camryn had her best performance of her season at the Pink Invitational where she won the beam, floor, and all around titles.

As a level 8 in 2021, Camryn began her season at the Heartland Spring Classic. Here, Camryn finished third on floor. Camryn competed one more meet of level 8 during the 2021 season at the Beach Party Invitational where she came in second on floor.

Currently, Camryn trains 17.5 hours per week under coaches Lena, Steve, and Norek at Hotshots Gymnastics. Camryn's goal for her 2022 season is to compete level 9 and qualify to the Region 6 Championships as well as the Eastern Championships. In the future, Camryn hopes to qualify to the Level 10 National Championships.
