The 2019 Circle of Stars Invitational had over 120 level 10s competing, but only two would advance to the Nastia Liukin Cup. Those two qualifiers would be senior, Sierra Brooks of Aspire, and junior, Natalie Martin of Buckeye.
Sierra Brooks finished with a 38.800, the highest score for her age division and the entire level 10 competition. This will be Brooks’ first trip to the Nastia Liukin Cup, but will look like a veteran on the podium. Last season, she finished third all around and second on vault at the JO National Championships, and has only continued to improve.
Junior qualifier Natalie Martin of Buckeye won her age group vault, bars, floor, and all around titles with a 37.200. This is only Martin’s second level 10 season, but shows promise after a strong competition at Circle of Stars.
The 2019 Nastia Liukin Cup will take place Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.Tags: Circle of Stars, Nastia Liukin Cup, Natalie Martin, Sierra Brooks
