Biography
Brooke Wilkerson got her start in gymnastics at the age of four in a mommy and me class. Once Brooke got older she began taking recreational classes and was eventually invited to join the team at Gymnastics Pacifica. Brooke began competing in 2016 and competed one meet of level 2 where she won all four events and the all around title. During the fall of 2016, Brooke competed level 3 and finished sixth on vault at the SoCal South State Championships. Following her level 3 season, Brooke began training at SCEGA Gymnastics and competed level 4 during the 2017 fall season. Brooke had her best meet of her season at the Desert Spooktacular Meet where she won the vault, beam, floor, and all around titles. In November at the SoCal South State Championships, Brooke finished fourth on floor and fifth all around.
After the 2017 season, Brooke and her family moved to Northern California and Brooke began training at San Mateo Gymnastics. As a level 5 during the 2018 season, Brooke began her season at the Accel's Princess Invitational where she won the beam title and finished second all around. Brooke continued to have a great season and went on to win the vault title and finish second on bars, beam, floor, and in the all around at the NorCal State Championships.
Brooke began her optional career in December 2019 as a level 7 at the NorCal National Judges Cup Team Qualifier. Here, Brooke won the beam title and placed third all around. Brooke also qualified to represent the state of NorCal at the 2020 National Judges Cup. In January, Brooke competed at the National Judges Cup Championships and won the beam and all around titles. Brooke was able to compete four more meets before the season was unfortunately canceled due to COVID-19. At each of these four meets, Brooke finished in the top two in the all around. She had her best performance at the Brestyan's Las Vegas Invitational where she won the vault, beam, floor, and all around titles with a huge 38.825.
Currently, Brooke trains 18 hours a week under coaches Armen and Oksana at San Mateo Gymnastics. Brooke's goal for her 2021 season is to score a 9.0+ on all events. In the future, Brooke hopes to earn a college scholarship for gymnastics.
