Brianna started gymnastics at the age of five as a way to burn off all the energy she had. Brianna began competing in the fall of 2014 as a level 3 with Edge Gymnastics Training Center. Brianna had a great first competitive season and finished first all around at the NorCal Level 3 North State Championships.
In 2015, Brianna competed level 4 where she finished fourth all around at the NorCal North State Championships. In the Summer of 2016, Brianna participated in TOPs Testing and went on to qualify to TOPs National Testing. After TOPs, Brianna competed level 5 and finished in the top 10 in the all around in all of her meets. At the NorCal Level 5 State Championships, Brianna finished second on floor and fourth all around.
Immediately after her level 5 season, Brianna began competing level 7. Brianna continued to improve her all around score throughout the season and went on to place third all around at the NorCal Level 7 State Championships. Brianna also qualified to the Region 1 Championships where she placed fourth on bars alongside some tough competition. Following her level 7 season, Brianna participated in TOPs Testing where she qualified to TOPs National Testing for the second year in a row.
Brianna began her 2018 level 8 season at the Palm Springs Cup where she tied for first on floor and placed fourth all around. Throughout the season, Brianna continued to improve her scores, and at the NorCal State Championships, she tied for third on floor and fifth all around. Brianna also qualified for the Region 1 Championships. At regionals, Brianna finished third on floor.
Following her 2018 season, Brianna began training at San Mateo Gymnastics. Brianna began her season as a level 8, but was moved up to level 9 the competition before state. At the NorCal State Championships, Brianna had a great meet, taking second on floor, and fourth all around. Brianna had another fantastic meet at Regionals and came home with silver medals on bars and in the all around, qualifying to the Western Championships. Brianna concluded her season at Westerns where she had a solid competition, earning a medal on bars and a bronze medal in the all around.
Currently, Brianna trains 32 hours a week at San Mateo Gymnastics under Armen Astonian and Oksana Bystrova. In the future, Brianna hopes to earn a college scholarship for gymnastics.
