Bianca Rodrigues got her start in gymnastics at the age of four. Bianca started playing sports when she was two years old. From the ages of two to five, she played soccer, softball, and also did ballet. Gymnastics was meant to be an additional sport to fill in the empty days, however little did her family know that it would eventually be the sport that she fell in love with.
When Bianca was four, Bianca's family enrolled her into a recreational gymnastics program. After about five months, some of her coaches noticed her natural abilities and suggested that she join the team. As they did not have a Level 1 team at the time, she was placed on their level 2 team. Bianca began competing in the fall of 2016 as a level 2 with Flip City Gymnastics. At her very first meet, Bianca came in the top 10 on all four events and in the all around. Bianca finished her level 2 season at the Florida Crown Championship Invitational where she came in third on beam.
Following her 2017 level 3 season, Bianca began training at American Twisters Gymnastics and competed level 3 during the spring 2018 season. Bianca had her best meet as a level 3 at the Tim Rand Invitational where she won the vault and all around titles. Bianca finished up her season at the Florida Crown Championship Invitational with a top 5 finish on beam.
Bianca competed her first level 4 meet in February 2019 at the Sun & Surf Spectacular. Here, Bianca finished seventh all around. Bianca competed two more meets of level 4 and then went on to train for optionals. After her 2019 level 4 season, Bianca began training at The Gymnastics Revolution.
Bianca began her optional career in January 2020 at the Critique Classic as a level 6. At this meet, Bianca came in fourth on beam. Bianca was able to compete three more meets before the season was canceled due to COVID-19.
Following her 2020 season, Bianca went back to American Twisters Gymnastics and kicked off her 2021 level 7 season at the Sun & Surf Spectacular where she earned silver medals on beam and in the all around. In March at the Florida State Championships, Bianca won the bars title with a 9.800, came in third on beam, and fourth all around. From state, Bianca qualified to the Region 8 Championships where she concluded her season with sixth place finishes on vault and bars and seventh all around.
Bianca kicked off her 2022 season as a level 8 at the Sun & Surf Spectacular finishing top 10 in the all around.
Currently, Bianca trains 25+ hours per week under coaches Christina Ramirez and Gary Anderson at American Twisters Gymnastics. Bianca's goal for her 2022 level 8 season is to score a 38.00 in the all around, and score a 100 on her TOPs physical abilities test this summer. In the future, Bianca hopes to earn a college scholarship for gymnastics.
