The Hawkeyes had a few landing errors on floor, but a gorgeous routine from Killian for 9.800 was a definite highlight of the 48.3 rotation. Auburn’s best rotation of the night came on the balance beam, typically the Tigers’ strongest event, in their third rotation, with a near perfect routine from Meredith Sylvia scoring a 9.925 and senior Abby Milliet and Skyler Sheppard both with 9.875s of their own. The rotation total of 49.25 gave the Tigers a commanding lead heading into their final rotation on floor in front of the home crowd inside Auburn Arena.

Iowa finished off their meet on balance beam with their best rotation of the night, highlighted by an amazing routine from Clair Kaji for a huge 9.900. Iowa went six for six on beam and finished with a rotation score of 48.75, bringing their team total to a 193.225. Auburn had a few major struggles on floor in their final rotation and was only able to total a 47.525, a rotation score far below that of their other three events. The Tigers won the meet with a 194. 825 and will hope to improve as the season progresses and avoid the inconsistency that plagued their 2018 campaign in the new season.
