Biography
Annelyse Miller got her start in gymnastics at the age of five after seeing her older sister do gymnastics and wanting to be like her. Annelyse progressed through classes and was soon after invited to join the team program at Legacy Gymnastics. Annelyse competed her first meet as a level 3 at the Galveston Island Winter Beach Blast in January 2021. Here, Annelyse came in second on beam and in the all around as well as third on vault and bars.
Following her 2021 spring season, Annelyse began training at Pearland Elite Gymnastics. Annelyse participated in TOPs State Testing during the Summer and qualified to TOPs National Testing as one of the top eight year olds in the country. From National Testing, Annelyse made the TOPs National B Team. Annelyse competed level 4 during the fall 2021 season and began her season at the I Love The 80s District Qualifier where she won the vault, bars, and all around titles. Annelyse went on to win the vault, bars, and all around titles at her next four meets including the District Championships and South State Championships. From the Texas South State Championships, Annelyse qualified to the Texas State Championships where she concluded her season with a first place finish on bars, second place finish on vault, and third place finishes on floor and in the all around.
Annelyse began her optional career in January 2022 as a level 6 at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. Here, Annelyse finished in the top five on vault, beam, floor, and in the all around. One week later at the Houston National Invitational, Annelyse won the all around title and earned bronze medals on vault, bars, and beam.
Currently, Annelyse trains 25 hours per week under coaches Beth, Kellie, Megan, Joanne, Clint, and Julian at Pearland Elite Gymnastics. In the future, Annelyse's goal is to make more TOPs teams and then qualify Hopes. After that, Annelyse hopes to earn a college scholarship for gymnastics.
