Amelia Keshishian got her start in gymnastics at the age of five in recreational classes and instantly loved it. Amelia began competing at the age of six as a level 2 with Gymnastics World.
After competing level 2, Amelia began training at Gymnastics Olympica and competed level 3 during the 2018 season. At her first meet, Amelia won the vault title and came in second on bars. In November at the SoCal State Championships, Amelia took fourth on floor and sixth in the all around. Amelia competed two meets of level 3 during the spring 2019 season and at both meets, Amelia scored a 38.00+ in the all around.
As a level 4 during the 2019-2020 season, Amelia began her season at the NAWGJ SoCal Judges' Cup where she earned a silver medal on bars. For the remainder of the season, Amelia finished in the top 3 in the all around at each of her meets. At the SoCal State Championships, Amelia earned a silver medal on bars and bronze medal in the all around.
Amelia began her optional career in January 2021 as a level 6 at the Biles Invitational. Here, Amelia won the vault, beam, and all around titles. Two months later at the SoCal State Championships, Amelia won the vault, bars, beam, and all around titles. With her performance at state, Amelia qualified to represent Southern California as a SoCal State Team Member at the Region 1 Championships. Amelia concluded her season at regionals with her best meet of her season, winning the beam, floor, and all around titles, making her undefeated on beam and in the all around for the season.
Currently, Amelia trains 25 hours per week under coaches Arsen Minasyan and Lara McCullum at Gymnastics Olympica. In the future, Amelia hopes to earn a college scholarship for gymnastics to UCLA.
