Allie Tolar has been doing gymnastics basically since she could walk. She started in a mommy and me class when she was 11 months old and hasn’t looked back once! Allie began competing in 2013 with Cypress Academy of Gymnastics as a seven year old level 3. Allie had a great first season of gymnastics and went on to place fifth on vault at the Texas South State Championships. The next year, as a level 4, Allie won the vault and all around titles at the District 5 Qualifier. At the South State Championships, Allie paced fourth on vault, floor, and in the all around. Allie completed her level 4 season at the Texas State Championships where she had her best meet of the season, placing second on bars and placing sixth all around with a 37.850.
Following her level 4 season, Allie began training at World Champions Centre in Spring, TX. Allie’s optional career began in January 2016 as a level 6. Allie competed her first meet at the Galveston Island Winter Beach Blast where she came away with a gold medal on beam and a silver in the all around. Allie continued to have a solid season and went on to place seventh all around at state. As a level 7 in 2017, Allie won back to back beam gold medals at the San Francisco Classic and Metroplex Challenge. Allie had a fantastic meet at the Texas State Championships where she won the all around with a huge 38.850. Allie moved on to the Region 3 Championships where she won the bars title with a 9.800 and finished sixth all around.
Allie opened up her 2018 level 8 season at the Chow’s Challenge where she won the floor title with a 9.825 and placed third on beam. At her next meet, the Metroplex Challenge, Allie had a great competition and won the bears, beam, floor, and all around titles. Allie continued to improved throughout the season and walked away with gold medals on vault, bars, and floor at state. At regionals, Allie placed first on floor, and second on vault and in the all around.
Currently, Allie trains 34 hours per week under coaches Jie Ling, Brian Gemberling, and Cecile and Laurent Landi at World Champions Centre. Allie attends the Academy at WCC at her home gym. It allows her to attend school, which she loves and practice gymnastics her other love and have the best of both worlds! She loves to learn new things and strives to always give her best in school and in the gym. She loves history and science and currently would like to be a biological archeologist or FBI agent. Allie loves to cook and bake and create new cakes and cupcakes from scratch! Allie is an all around hard worker in and out of the gym. She enjoys spending her off time, spending time with her friends, listening to music, making slime, or watching movies. Of course if she had a choice her off time would be spent in the gym! In the future, Allie hopes to be able to compete in college gymnastics.
