Alexia Felix got her start in gymnastics at the age of eight. Alexia has always been athletic, and when she was flipping around the house at a young age, Alexia's mom decided to put her in gymnastics.
Alexia began competing in January 2019 as a level 3 with The District Gymnastics where she came in fifth on vault. Following the winter/spring 2019 season, Alexia began training at Aftershock Gymnastics and competed level 3 during the fall of 2019. As a level 3, Alexia went on to win the vault title as well as second on bars and in the all around at the SoCal State Championships.
After her 2019 level 3 season, Alexia began training at Aurelian Gymnastics. Alexia kicked off her 2021 level 6 season at the Brestyan's Las Vegas Invitational where she came in sixth on vault. Alexia competed one more meet during the 2021 season at the Virtual Black Eyes Susan meet where she finished third on bars and floor.
Following her 2021 season, Alexia returned to Aftershock Gymnastics. Alexia began her 2022 level 6 season at the Long Beach Open. Here, Alexia earned a silver medal on vault. In March at the SoCal State Championships, Alexia came in fifth on bars and sixth on vault and in the all around with a 37.900.
Currently, Alexia trains 20 hours per week under coach Danielle Guerrero at Aftershock Gymnastics. Alexia's goal for her 2022 season is to score a 38.00 in the all around. In the future, Alexia hopes to compete level 10 and then compete for a college gymnastics program.
